It can be really stressful and you need to make sure you care for yourself. Hobbies and time off are so important if you are a healthcare professional. As is having someone to talk to and get support if you need it. Kirsty

(Stephanie, Speech and Language Therapist) There are a lot of different demands on your time when working in the NHS so it can be very stressful. It is also a very rewarding job and this balances out the stress a lot of the time. You need to make sure you keep your work-life in balance and keep interests outside of work. If you are based in a team there will generally be a lot of support to develop the skills you need to cope with the demands of the job.
